Bio

Elena Day is a Washington, DC native living in Brattleboro, VT where she is the ProTrack Director and Head of Physical Theater at The New England Center for Circus Arts.  

Most well known as the creator of Cirque du Soleil's signature character, The Green Bird, Elena is a seasoned performer with thousands of shows under her belt.

Her work as a director, coach and consultant has taken her around the world, and given her the opportunity to work with the best in the worlds of theatrical clowning, circus, street arts and traditional theater.
 
A dedicated teacher, Elena works with students of all ages, both non-performers and professionals. In short, anyone interested in expanding their self-awareness through the power of the body and the power of play.
As ProTrack Director and Head of Physical Theater at The New England Center for Circus Arts, Elena relishes the opportunity to help develop the next generation of circus artists and playful creatives.
Her background is in Lecoq-based physical theater, improvisation, modern dance and yoga. She is available to teach nationally and internationally.
